Our
Story

Who are the people behind Fell baggers?

We are a small family who fell in love with the Lake District. Many years ago when our son was small we used to come and visit for our holidays when we could.

Surprisingly, the first fell we tackled in this beautiful area was Scafell Pike and at the time our son was only 7! We followed this up with as many other fells as our little legs would allow.

Then, one day with the car packed and heading for home my husband turned to me in the car and said ‘I could live here’. Well, that as you might say, was that. We talked about the prospect of moving non-stop during the 5 hour drive home and by the time the bags were out of the car we had decided that our next adventure awaited.

We packed up our previous life in Essex and moved our then 10 year old son and our crazy Cocker Spaniel to the wonderful Lorton Valley and we have never looked back. With a strong love for not only the fells but the environment in general we wanted to ensure that if we were going to start a family business, it had to include our love for walking, be as low impact as possible and involve making something beautiful that people could record their adventures on.

We hope you enjoy the Lake District as much as we do, and of course that you continue to bag those fells!
